You might like to consider Zoanthrope Investigations, which is about a police team who are trying to keep shape shifters secret from “normal” humans in a UK city called Killamarsh.
Here’s our advert:
Zoanthropes Must…
Not infect humans.
Or face a lawsuit, which would result in staggeringly high legal fees. Nine out of ten cases result in the shifter paying the victim compensation.
Keep their animalism secret.
Or face a fine or prison sentence.
Pay a yearly five hundred pounds zoanthrope tax.
Or have their house, furniture, apartment, etc repossessed.
Obey the law.
Or face a life sentence. The more serious offenses (rape and murder) can lead to execution.
In addition, zoanthrope leaders must prevent their kind (including Rogues) from committing crimes.
Or else they must pay a hefty fine.

- Urban fantasy/horror/supernatural/crime/loads of things (essentially real life with a furry twist).
- We’re open to everybody, but appear to attract intermediate and advanced role-players the most. We don’t have any word counts, preferring quality over quantity.
- Open to ‘normal’ humans and shape shifters of all sorts.
- We have a very loose PG-13 rating, but are open minded. Hardcore sexual or gory threads are clearly marked or password protected.
- We have about 20 members on the board, a family feel and daily activity. We're reliable and won't die by next week, proof of this being our three years running.
- We’re based in the present.
- We have a welcoming community, who love new people! You’re warmly welcome to say hello and/or ask questions in the Cbox if you get the opportunity to lurk the board.
- We have a Buddy System, where an established member takes a new one under their wing, and helps them get to know the site and its community, as well as role-play and/or plot with him.
