Johnny (to some). Vlad (to really old friends – you know, the ones that should have died in the 1500s.). Most people just refer to him as Giovanni because that’s how he introduces himself.

Short Description:
At an average height (but tall for when he was human-born), Giovanni is mostly aesthetically pleasing to the society he walks around in.

Full Description:
Giovanni has dark hair, but he changes it often, just to get a fresh look. His eyes are brown, but they still have a sparkle to them. When Giovanni speaks, it’s kind of out of the one side of his mouth, but one has to really look at him to notice that. Unlike usual vampire lore, his teeth are not perfectly straight – they are, in fact, jagged, and imperfect, giving his face character. His style is typical Goth, but it stays current with some trends. He doesn’t want to look like he’s straight out of the 1500s when he’s out and about.

Disabilities:
The only disability that he really has is that Giovanni is a day-dreamer. He gets lost in music, books, and staring at the sky sometimes.

Personality:
While Giovanni is a human killing machine, he actually is quite sweet. He is a hopeless romantic, and when you’re a vampire, you can pull out all the stops, right? When he romances human girls, that’s what he does. He figures out, from watching someone for a while, what their interests are, and then he proceeds to sweep the woman off of her feet, and then he kills her. Unless he sees a reason to keep a woman around. As for the men – he just picks a fight and wins.

When he’s not killing, he’s playing music. And it’s not like he’s good at just one instrument. It’s all of them. Any single one. No matter if it was just invented or if it is so old that it is only in ancient artifacts in a museum. He was always like that even as a human. It just got enhanced once he became a vampire.

He once loved a human girl, and when they consummated their relationship, his bloodlust took over, and he killed her. He does regret that.

He’s not a good runner. He’s still got vampire super speed, but it’s not where he thinks it should be.

Actual, final death. He’s loving this immortality thing.

PAST;;

History:
Giovanni was born in the 1500s to parents that didn’t really want him. It was just that, during that time period, couples that didn’t have children were considered strange. They would have been looked down upon, so they had their one child – and he ended up being a boy, so they went with it. They decided that having a boy would carry on their legacy, and that was good enough for them. But seeing as they didn’t really want him, they didn’t spend a lot of time caring for him. They did the bare minimum, and he grew up fine. He seemed healthy, and, while he was playing with other children in the town, he seemed happy. He helped his father with the blacksmith business when he was old enough, and, although he used the tools more as musical instruments than anything else, he was enough of a help.

One night, when Giovanni was late closing up the shop – he was about 24 – a strange figure appeared from in between two buildings in their town on the main street. The figure, not saying who or what he was, explained to Giovanni that he had been watching him for years, and he knew that there was a greater destiny for him. He asked Giovanni if he was afraid of death, and Giovanni admitted that he didn’t want to ever die. He felt like there was too much to do in life – he just wanted away from the mundane life that he had with his family. The hooded figure explained to Giovanni that he had an out for him. He offered him immortality and a way out of the town. Giovanni, being skeptic, asked what the catch was. The figure explained that it would be painful, but worth it. Giovanni stepped back to run away, but the figure swooped over him and Giovanni instantly felt pain in his neck.

Weeks after coming up missing, Giovanni showed up at his parents’ house – as the vampire that he now was, who didn’t mind that he was gone at all. They didn’t even look upset. In fact, they looked celebratory. So he walked in, cold air surrounding him. They looked shocked, but didn’t even ask anything – was he okay, what happened, nothing. He murdered them. In cold blood, and didn’t make it look like an accident at all.

After that, he traveled the world for ages – Crazy Christopher Columbus was right; the world was round. He traveled without anywhere to call home until 1983, when he met a girl who was 21. Her name was Kara, and he fell in love with her one night when she was singing karaoke in a bar. He offered to take her home, after approaching her and talking to her for most of the night. They walked home, and he left her go. But she quickly came back out of the door and asked if she could see him again. Not sure as to why, Giovanni agreed, and told her to meet him the next week at the bar. This went on for months this way, until Kara invited Giovanni in the one night. One thing led to another, and Giovanni was in a position that he didn’t know that he would ever be in, as a vampire. And he shouldn’t have let it escalate to that point. He was in love with Kara, and she was in love with him, so her heart was pounding, as they were ripping their clothes off. She asked him why he was cold to the touch, but he ignored the question. And, he later felt that he should have answered, as she would have probably sent him away once he told her what he was. Instead, Giovanni got lost in the moment, and his lust for blood took over – causing him to kill Kara.

Since then, Giovanni made it a point to not pursue humans except for the hunt and feeding. He eventually found his way to Darcy Academy, where he learned things to keep him current with the present society. After graduation, he went on to university, and he eventually returned to Darcy Academy to become a music teacher.
